Island Time Kayaking Tour (Full Day):
Their most popular tour - if you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy adventure this is for you! Your tour starts from your accommodation pick you where you then head for the car ferry to Okaito (NZ’s first Capital).
From here, enjoy a scenic drive along the Russell peninsula to where the tour starts, after getting comfortable with the gear and cover a few safety points, you can get your kayaks on the water!
Over 100 islands make up the Islands of the Bay.Surrounded by white sand beaches and rocky coastline, with caves to paddle your sea kayak into and explore, along with the crystal clear water - but each one has something slightly different to offer. You can stop and snorkel at one island, chill out and have some lunch on another and take a walk and get some photos on the next. This is a full day out on the water so there is lots of chances to see and paddle with dolphins, blue penguins and if you are lucky sometimes we even see orca! Your local guide will take you to the best spots and will spin you a few yarns about local legends and the rich Maori and European History.
With no experience necessary, this tour is suitable for all ages and requires only an average level of fitness. Bring change of clothes, water bottle and sun protection, everything else you need provided, including a tasty lunch ! Complimentary transfers available from Paihia accomodation, and Russell on request.
Departs 9am from Paihia / 9.30am from Russell, enjoy a full six hours kayaking!
Haruru Falls Sea Kayaking Trip (Half Day):
Come and join us on our kayak tour up to the famous Haruru Falls, (meaning “big noise”) where you can get right underneath these magic horseshoe-shaped falls to feel their full power.
After a little instruction, head off up the river exploring the mangrove forests en route to the falls.
On the way, spot nesting birds and old Maori Pa sites - when you get to the falls is where you can really have some fun! Here you can get up close to the falls and for the more adventurous take a plunge under the falls! The Waitangi River is rich with history and Maori legend as your guide will let you in on along the way.
After a paddle under the falls, stop for a break and refreshments before your paddle back down the river.

Tours depart twice daily, morning (9.30am) and afternoon (1.30pm) for 3 hours kayaking. Meet at the Waitangi Boat Ramp (over the Waitangi bridge) where your tour starts.
